6

1. Political parties have legal competence under the provisions set forth in the present decree-law and in the legislation governing associations.
2. Parties do not have competence to negotiate collective agreements nor may they be included by the broadening of the scope of any collective agreements, but, in their relations with their workers, are subject to the provisions of the legal framework on individual employment contracts and to the resulting social security obligations. However the act of affiliation with a party other than their employer or the act of campaigning on behalf of another party shall be considered as just cause for dismissal.
