(11) 5. For as long as the representatives of Austria in the European Parliament have not been elected in a general election, they shall be delegated by the National Council from among the members of the Federal Assembly. This delegation ensues on the basis of proposals by the parties represented in the National Council in accordance with their strength pursuant to the principle of proportional representation. For period of their delegation members of the National Council and of the Federal Council can simultaneously be members of the European Parliament.
