Chapter Paragraph 4. Alterations in seat allocations

14

1. In the event that, as a result of an election for the members of the Second Chamber or the First Chamber of the Parliament, there is a change in the number of seats held by a political party, the maximum subsidy which, pursuant to article 6, may be provided to the political party, shall be adjusted as from the first day of the fifth calendar month, subsequent to the month in which the election took place. This day is also considered as the reference date, as provided for in article 6, section three.
2. In the event that, as a result of an election, a number of seats in the Parliament is assigned on the basis of Electoral law to the list of a political party which during the previously held election did not have any assigned seats, the respective party shall be eligible for the subsidy as from the first day of the calendar month following the month in which the election took place. For the political party concerned this day counts as the first reference date and the application for the subsidy, as provided for in article 8, is to be submitted without delay and, at the latest, within 3 months after said date.
3. In the event that, as a result of the election and on the basis of de Electoral law, one or more seats are assigned to the list of a political party which during the previously held election did not have any seats assigned, the subsidy, notwithstanding article 2, section one, will still be granted no later than the first day of the fifth calendar month after said election was held.
