Chapter TITLE II PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE FINANCING OF CAMPAIGNS FOR THE ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

Three paragraphs are added to article L. 167 of the code électoral (Electoral code) as follows:
"Other election expenses of candidates who obtained at least 5 percent of the votes cast in the first round are subject to a flat reimbursement from the state equal to one tenth of the limit specified in Article L.O. 163-2.
"Said reimbursement shall not exceed the expenses incurred by the candidate, as reported in the candidate's campaign accounts¬.
"The reimbursement referred to in the preceding paragraph is not to be granted to candidates who have failed to comply with the stipulations of Article L.O. 179-1 or of article L.O. 163-2 and shall not be granted to elected candidates who have failed to submit a declaration pursuant to article L.O. 135-1."
