Applications for grants must be submitted no later than two months after a general election has been held. Grants are awarded with effect from the end of the year in which the general election was held until the end of the year in which the next general election is held (see, however, Subsection 3 and Section 7, Subsection 2).
Subsection 2. Grants are paid once a year before 1 April in the year to which the grant relates (see, however, Subsection 3 and Section 7, Subsection 2).
Subsection 3. Grants to parties and independent candidates who did not participate in the preceding general election or did not receive at least 1,000 votes at that election are awarded with effect from the end of the month in which the application is submitted. Grants shall be paid for the first time no later than two months after the application was submitted and as a proportion of the annual grant calculated from the end of the month in which the application was submitted.
