7

1.Each party which has competed in elections, albeit in coalition, and which obtains representation in the Assembleia da República (Assembly of the Republic) is granted, pursuant to the following paragraphs,¬ an annual grant, provided that they apply to the President of the Assembleia da República (Assembly of the Republic).
2.The grant consists of a sum of money equivalent to the fraction of 1/225 of the national monthly minimum salary per each vote obtained in the most recent election of Deputies to the Assembleia da República (Assembly of the Republic).
3.In cases of electoral coalition, the grant payable to each of the parties comprising a coalition is equal to the grant which, pursuant to paragraph 2, corresponds to their electoral ¬coalition, distributed proportionately according to the number of members elected per each party.
4.The grant is paid on a monthly basis, as special appropriation entered for this purpose in the budget of the Assembleia da República (Assembly of the Republic).
