Title Article 14 (Sanctions)
Chapter Chapter 2: Financing of Political Parties

14

1.Without prejudice to any civil or criminal liability as may arise under the general terms of the law, political parties which are in breach of the obligations imposed under the present chapter shall be punished with a fine, the minimum amount of which is 10 national minimum monthly salaries and the maximum amount of which is 400 national minimum monthly salaries.
2.The Constitutional Court shall have jurisdiction as regards the application of fines, whereas a section decision of the Court may be appealed to the plenary session.
3.The proceeds from fines accrue to the State.
4.The Court may order, as an ancillary penalty, dissemination of the text of the decision, at the offender's expense, in a daily newspaper with larger national circulation.
5.Failure to submit accounts within the period stipulated in paragraph 1 of article 13 shall determine suspension of the payment of the state grant to which the party is entitled until the date of said submission.
