Title Article 8
Chapter Transitional Provisions
Article

1.From 1st January 1984 until the end of the year when the subsequent general parliamentary elections are held, the amount corresponding in the first case detailed under paragraph 1, article 3, of ten percent (10%) is allocated by decision of the Minister of Interior equally among all political parties: a) eligible for financial support, according to the definitions of article 2, paragraph 1; or b) which independently or in coalition, participated in at least two general parliamentary elections between 1974 and the present date, with candidates in at least 2/3 of the Country's electoral districts and receiving in each of the elections of this period, the respective vote percentages determined in paragraph 1, article 2.
2.Political parties fulfilling the prerequisites of the above paragraph shall be determined by act of the Senior Supervisory Committee of article 91 P.D. 164/1984. Political parties covered by the second case stipulated in the previous paragraph are not eligible for any amount, except for the one corresponding to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the subsidy.
3.In the event that a party fulfils the participation prerequisites for the allocation of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the subsidy in more than one of the cases determined in paragraph 1 of this article, it is eligible to receive the corresponding amount only once.
4.The provisions of paragraphs 3 and 4 of article 3 and articles 4, 5 and 6 apply accordingly also to parties covered by case b), paragraph 1 of this article.
5.For the parties of case a), paragraph 1, the related provisions of paragraph 1, case b, 3 and 4 of article 3 apply accordingly.
