4

(1) The political parties must keep strict accounting of the use of the subsidies in accordance with their designation (§ 2, paragraph 1).
(2) This accounting along with the entire enclosed documentation is subject to annual auditing by two chartered expert accountants; the audit's result is promulgated in the Official Newsletter of Wiener Zeitung.
(3) The chartered expert accountants to whom the audit of a political party has been assigned are appointed by the Federal Minister of Finance from a list of five expert accountants, as the appointed person is presented by the political party that is subject of the audit to the Minister of Finance within a four-week term after a submitted request thereto; if during such period the political party does not present the subject list, the Federal Minister of Finance shall appoint the relevant expert accountants without any proposals.
(4) In addition, each political party receiving subsidies in the meaning of this federal law, reports publicly the type of its income and expenses. For this purpose, the political party draws up annual profit and loss account. This account is also subject of verification by two expert accountants who certify and promulgate same.
