Political parties are due to their free establishment and permanent participation in building of the citizens' political will a symbol of democratic multi-party system as a part of the highest values of the constitutional order of the Republic of Croatia.
The establishment of political parties guarantees the citizens their right to free association as to protect their benefits or to stand up for political, social, economic, national, cultural and other convictions and goals.
The legal position, conditions and process for establishment, registration and cease of political parties is stipulated by this Act.
