One portion of funds for the operation of political parties, whose candidates have been elected deputies in the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia, is provided from the state budget on an annual basis. The funds for the operation of a political party indicated in paragraph 1 of this Article shall be provided to amount of twenty-four average gross bases for payroll accounting for the employees and officials employed in the state authorities of the Republic of Croatia. Besides the funds indicated in paragraph 2 of this Article, the political parties are provided with the funds proportionate to their number of deputies in the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia, so that the total amount of funds stipulated according to criterion indicated in paragraph 2 of this Article is three times larger, divided by a total number of deputy seats in the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia and multiplied by a number of deputies of a specific political party. If a deputy is elected a candidate of two or several political parties, the funds indicated in paragraph 3 of this Article are divided among such political parties in equal portions and if the political party does not have at least one candidate elected as deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia within the meaning of this Article, it shall not participate in the distribution of funds indicated in paragraph 2 of this Article. The funds for the operation and work of political parties shall be allocated by the Board for election, appointment and administrative affairs of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia.
